I Like It, I Love It

I had the best day today.  My alarm went off at 5:30, which I need to change to 5:00 because lately it's been taking me a good twenty minutes to get out of bed.  I took forever to get ready, got in an hour of practicing, went to 8:30 Aural Skills with the most hilariously nerdy GSI ever, practiced for another hour, had a wonderful lesson (complete with Dr. Lyman yodeling ... well, sort of), went to an art lecture, and actually had an hour for lunch.

I basically already know everything we're learning about PhotoShop in Digital Studio, so as long as I occasionally chip in to the critiques, I get in a good 3 hours of computer work.  I grabbed Taco Bell before the Thursday night nap time lecture (it's pass/fail; I just show up), although tonight's speaker was a choreographer, so I was awake some of the time.  I actually went to North and back before IV because I wanted to pick up a package that I was expecting, and the next time I can get a package will be Monday night because I'll be out of town this weekend.  In it was my cute rain boots that I ordered from Target, a cordless kettle (we call it the 'water boiler') for hot chocolate, and last year's ASYO yearbook.  Not late at all.

Tonight's Large Group was a game night, and I played a game called The Game of Things, which is very similar to Loaded Questions, and as a result, very fun.  The North Campus crowd walked back together, and somehow my friend Jeremiah and I ended up telling stories about tripping, falling, etc., and were laughing hysterically ... we've had a long week.  I got home, and there was sign on my door that read, "Emily, the ladies of Alpha Chapter welcome you to Sigma Alpha Iota!"  Quite a few more freshman are involved this semester than last semester, so it might actually feel like a sorority.  We have our Member In Training ceremony on Sunday night.

Is it bad that I love the life without sleep?

  2. If you can keep going without sleep, more power to you, said her mother who was up way too late after traveling to Texas tonight and trying to get settled!
