After way too many hours in the car, my parents and I are finally in Dallas! We made sure to stop at El Chico on the way, to get in some Tex-Mex while we're here. All of the siblings are coming here for Christmas instead of Atlanta, since it's easier to haul three people across the country than seven. I miss the cold, but I can't complain about the fifty-degree weather. Still gray skies.
A few days ago, I got an email from a woman from UM Recreational Sports who is looking for a new marketing designer. She and Kristina, the girl who currently has the position but is graduating, reviewed several portfolios, and she said that they were "very excited" by mine and would like to meet with me and two other people right after the break! I am SO pumped about this prospective internship. It wouldn't be more than ten hours a week, it pays nine or ten dollars an hour, and I would essentially have the position until I graduate. Yay!
I found out I got straight As for my first semester! Not as impressive when you consider that I didn't have any academic classes and I wasn't taking Musicology, but still. I'm happy.
Birthday party for my 84-year-old grandmother tonight. Family, family, and more family :)
Happy holidays!

Only a sad face because you're in Texas and not still here in GA. I'm glad you got there safely and enjoy the warmer weather. I can't wait until you get back and congratulations on your straight A's. <3
